(The United Football Players Association (“U.F.P.A.”) was established in 2020 and has since worked on facilitating information, with the objective of establishing transparency between players and leagues. Empowering players to have a voice and open channel of dialogue with the league to improve in the areas we know best and create accountability to the owners to do right by the players. Lastly, let players take more control of their careers and find ways to develop and grow with these opportunities both on and off the field.
The UFPA was formed because for years now the spring league level has lacked a collective voice from the players that play in it. We have seen professional players have poor protection and benefits, Injured players released while under contract, amongst many other hardships due to lack of protection. This level of football is extremely important to many players, and making sure players are at the table to discuss the ways this level can be here for years to come is one of the highest priorities.
