Over the past 4 years, the UFPA has consistently made sure opportunities have been captured and players have not been taken advantage of. 

July 31st, 2020

The UFPA is initially created as 501(C4) after the shutdown of the XFL 2020 season, in attempts to create a voice for players.

October, 2020

The UFPA publicly warns prospective players from signing with the National Gridiron League, after number of cases in the past have raised questions about whether this is a legitimate league or a scam. Helped players who wanted to participate in the newly formed ELF overseas.

December, 2020

The UFPA hosts virtual meetings for all XFL players to properly submit bankruptcy claims to the right place.

2021

After the fall of the Alliance of American Football league in 2019 The UFPA helped to extend the deadline for players to file claims which resulted in over 70% of the players receiving their bankruptcy payouts, Securing over $750,000 dollars for players which was paid out in 2022.

January, 2022

The UFPA partners with USW to get the Union (Local 9004) in place for the USFL

January, 2023

First CBA is Established in USFL, Signed off by Ryan Cave UFPA board Executive

April, 2023

XFL Players vote no to the United Steelworkers representation

April, 2023

The UFPA officially ends its partnership with USW to seek independence.

January, 2024

UFPA establishes Union Status granting ability to directly represent players in collective bargaining.

July 25th, 2024

UFPA Files Showing of interests to NLRB to trigger election to become 2025 UFL Players Association
